We are seeking an experienced Lead Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our database systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of critical data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to data management.
This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the growth and success of Mrsool. As a DBA, you will be responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and backup solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, install, configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo DB, Cassandra, Aerospike etc.)
- Monitor database performance and conduct tuning for optimal efficiency
- Implement and maintain data security policies to protect sensitive information
- Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies
- Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and data analysts to support database-related needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo DB, Cassandra, Aerospike, Redis etc.
- Strong understanding of database design principles, indexing, partitioning, and replication
- Experience with database monitoring tools
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, SQL scripting)
