Proposal Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Proposal Engineer to lead the preparation and evaluation of technical documents for project bidding processes.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of technical skills and excellent communication abilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Technical Document Preparation: Prepare and evaluate technical documents, including offers, system architectures, bill of materials, and basic designs.
  • Customer Requirements Evaluation: Lead a core team to evaluate customer requirements and produce technical responses to RFQs from current and potential customers.
  • Site Visits and Meetings: Perform site visits to collect information and address commercial and technical meetings with prospective clients.
  • Project Management: Coordinate with customers, manage material, vendors, subcontractors, and company staff.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have a degree in Electrical/Electronics/ENTC/Instrumentation and 1-3 years of experience in a similar field.

You should also have strong electrical and control knowledge, as well as experience with DCS, PLC, RTU, SCADA, HMI, MCC, PCC, VFD, APFC, and other control panels.

Bonus points for knowledge of Honeywell systems. A team player with excellent communication, analytical, relationship management, and problem-solving skills is essential for this role.
