Role Overview


At SPT Labtech, we are seeking a skilled Software Tester to join our team based in New Delhi, India, working on a multi-million-pound development project and our current product range. As a talented professional, you will participate in all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle, including attending daily scrum meetings, understanding requirements, planning, designing test cases, and executing functional testing of software and hardware.




  • Attend daily scrum meetings to coordinate with the team




  • Maintain tasks in JIRA to track progress




  • Understand requirements and use cases of the application to ensure effective testing




  • Plan and design test cases using Jira-Xray to ensure comprehensive testing




  • Prepare test data to simulate real-world scenarios




  • Execute functional testing on both software and hardware to ensure quality




  • Report execution status and defects to the team




  • Retest defects and reexecute relevant tests to ensure resolution




  • Collaborate closely with an integrated team, including developers, testers, field engineers, business analysts, and project managers




  • Self-organize and adapt to an agile software development process




Required Skills and Experience




  • Minimum 2 years of experience in functional testing of Windows, Web, or Mobile software applications




  • Experience in STLC and defects life cycle




  • Familiarity with repository/test management software like GIT, Jira, RedMine, or X-Ray tools




  • Ability to write, follow, and modify pre-made test procedures




  • Demonstrable understanding of modern software development methodologies




  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills




  • ISTQB, BCS, or equivalent experience




Advantageous Skills




  • Experience with software automation using tools like Selenium or Appium




  • Knowledge of life science domain




  • Scripting language skills like Python, JavaScript, or Perl




  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure
