Job Description

The Senior ColdFusion Developer will be responsible for leading the design and development of web-based applications using Adobe ColdFusion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of web-based applications using ColdFusion.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code, ensuring applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather, understand, and define technical and functional requirements.
• Design and manage complex relational databases, write SQL queries, and optimize database performance.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership in design and code reviews.
• Develop unit tests, perform debugging, and fix any issues related to application functionality, performance, or security.
• Maintain clear and concise technical documentation for development processes and system architecture.
• Develop and integrate RESTful web services and third-party APIs to enhance application functionality.
• Use version control systems (like Git) to manage and document code changes.
• Ensure that applications comply with security best practices and data protection policies.

 

Required Qualifications:

To be eligible for this role, you should have:

• Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Adobe ColdFusion (versions 10 and above).
• Proficient in ColdFusion Markup Language (CFML), JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and experience with writing SQL queries.
• Proficiency in front-end frameworks like Bootstrap, AngularJS, or React is a plus.
• Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
• Familiarity with Git, SVN, or similar version control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and how to protect applications against common vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL Injection, XSS).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

We prefer candidates with:

• Experience with ColdFusion frameworks such as ColdBox or Fusebox.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Adobe ColdFusion certification or other relevant industry certifications.
