About this role

  • As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal part in establishing and leading the development of cloud infrastructure.

This position requires designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions using AWS technologies. You must ensure their security, scalability, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cloud technologies, architecture principles, and best practices. This person should have strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Troubleshoots and resolves AWS service issues across various environments
  2. Manages AWS services, working with internal teams as required to ensure system availability meets project needs
  3. Designs, builds, and deploys cloud solutions using AWS services and platforms
  4. Provides guidance and technical expertise on cloud adoption, migration, and optimization
  5. Develops scripts to automate systems administration and monitoring tasks
  6. Supports AWS-related issues, monitors solutions, and implements strategies to eliminate performance bottlenecks
  7. Works with Infrastructure and Product teams on AWS design and architecture issues and assists with Proof-of-Concept development and testing
  8. Collaborates with peers within and beyond the Operations team to define and resolve complex technology or process problems
  9. Assists with the development of Operations documentation and proposals
  10. Stays up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, AWS SysOps Administrator Certification, or equivalent AWS experience

Required Skills:

  • AWS experience, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail
  • Deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Experience designing and implementing AWS solutions
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices
  • Intermediate networking concepts (routing, switching, firewalls)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause-analysis skills
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server technologies
  • Experience working with third-party service providers
  • Ability to plan and implement change for enterprise systems and adhere to standard processes

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in outsourced/managed services environments with some client-facing responsibilities
  • Familiarity with WebLogic or equivalent application server platforms
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools and other DevOps tools
  • Strong knowledge of Local and Wide area networking technologies
  • Ability to mentor other team members in technical areas
  • Experience supporting fast-paced development environments using Agile and DevOps methodologies
