We are looking for an experienced COBOL developer with a strong background in mainframe technologies to join our team at People Prime Worldwide. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience working with mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and Ezytrieve.

This role involves developing, testing, and maintaining mission-critical applications on the mainframe platform. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and deploying COBOL programs for mainframe applications, writing and maintaining JCL scripts for batch job execution, and designing and maintaining DB2 databases.

Additionally, the successful candidate will handle VSAM file processing and management, create, maintain, and troubleshoot Ezytrieve programs, perform system analysis, and support the debugging and optimization of mainframe applications. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, quality assurance, and system administrators.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in JCL, DB2, VSAM, and Ezytrieve, as well as a strong understanding of mainframe architecture, batch processing, and related tools. Experience with troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning on the mainframe platform is also required.

A good understanding of relational databases, particularly DB2, and ability to work with large volumes of data in mainframe environments are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment are also necessary.
