Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Enterprise Financial Systems

A leading financial software company is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design and develop robust, scalable enterprise financial systems.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software architecture, particularly in the context of large-scale enterprise financial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure, efficient data management solutions ensuring data integrity and compliance with relevant financial regulations
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs for financial data processing leveraging Node.js and Express.js
• Develop complex database schemas and optimize database performance to meet high-volume financial data processing demands
• Integrate multiple data sources and implement efficient data synchronization mechanisms
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices and coding standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions meeting or exceeding customer expectations

Required Technical Skills:

• 2+ years of professional experience in backend development preferably in accounting or financial software
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript with strong focus on object-oriented programming principles
• Extensive experience with Node.js and Express.js including expertise in middleware development and API design
• Familiarity with AWS services including EC2 S3 and Lambda
• Strong database skills with expertise in MongoDB and PostgreSQL as well as experience with database optimization and performance tuning
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs with strong understanding of API security and authentication mechanisms
• Solid knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles including microservices architecture and event-driven design
• Familiarity with Git version control including experience with branching and merging strategies
• Strong understanding of security best practices in backend development including expertise in secure coding and vulnerability assessment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field
• Experience with financial data processing and accounting principles including familiarity with GAAP and IFRS
• Knowledge of ORM tools like Mongoose Sequelize and Prisma
• Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS Azure or Google Cloud including experience with containerization and orchestration
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines including experience with Jenkins and other automation tools
• Experience with containerization Docker including expertise in image building and deployment

• Excellent communication skills including experience with public speaking and presentation design
