Job Opportunity: Data Validation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to fill the role of Data Validation Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess strong programming experience in Python or Java, solid SQL expertise, and hands-on experience working with large data sets.

About the Position:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join our team as a Data Validation Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing test cases with a focus on Fixed Income trading workflows.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute test cases to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  2. Create custom data validation scripts based on provided regression test cases.
  3. Analyze and translate stored procedure logic into automation scripts.
  4. Compare datasets across environments and generate diffs.
  5. Collaborate with development, business analysts, and project managers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
  6. Provide clear and concise reporting on QA progress and metrics to management.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming experience in Python (preferred) or Java.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, including writing and debugging complex queries, understanding stored procedures, and using them in automation.
  • Experience working with data structures, large tables, and datasets.
  • Comfort with data manipulation, validation, and building comparison scripts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience of working with test management tools.
  • Extremely strong organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently without the need for close supervision and collaboratively as part of cross-team efforts.
