Platform Engineering Leader

Are you a seasoned data engineering professional looking to lead the development of cutting-edge cloud-based platforms? We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineering Manager/Architect to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate a clear vision for the platform, ensuring seamless integration with business operations and growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to set priorities and drive challenges resolution.
  • Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines leveraging AWS services, maximizing scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Lead the design and implementation of data product storage, processing, and APIs using AWS-native tools and serverless architectures.
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, utilizing Terraform and AWS CDK for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  • Establish and enforce platform governance standards, ensuring adherence to security, operational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineering teams, fostering knowledge sharing and expertise growth.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in platform engineering, data architect, data engineering, or solution architecture.
  • Proven track record in designing and managing multi-tenant systems on AWS, with advanced skills in Terraform (IaC).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, with hands-on experience with AWS cloud and Big Data Analytics ecosystem.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership skills, able to drive strategic alignment and foster collaboration.

What You'll Bring:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services, including Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena, Lake Formation, DynamoDB, SageMaker, and more.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, with hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/CD.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
