CMDB Analyst Role Overview
As a highly skilled CMDB Analyst, you will play a vital role in maintaining and updating the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within ServiceNow. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement processes for identifying, recording, and managing configuration items (CIs) and their relationships.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure that all configuration items (CIs) are accurately recorded and updated in the CMDB.

Responsibilities Continued:
  • Perform regular audits to ensure the integrity and quality of CMDB data.
  • Identify and rectify data discrepancies, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies within the CMDB.
  • Develop and enforce data quality standards and processes.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement configuration management processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective CMDB solutions.
  • Continuously monitor and improve the CMDB processes to align with industry best practices and business needs.

Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience working with ServiceNow CMDB in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in managing and maintaining a complex CMDB in a large enterprise environment.

Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices, particularly Configuration Management.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow platform, specifically in CMDB, Discovery, and Asset Management modules.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Familiarity with integration tools and methodologies.
