Energy Storage Engineering Position:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the development of cutting-edge battery-based energy storage systems.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of electrical design principles, including PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA system designs. They should be well-versed in applicable codes and regulations in the USA, with the ability to conduct thorough technical reviews and due diligence on installations for compliance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Electrical Design: Develop comprehensive electrical designs for battery-based energy storage systems, ensuring seamless integration of various components.
  2. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with the latest codes and standards in the USA, applying this knowledge to ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements.
  3. Technical Review: Conduct rigorous technical reviews of documents and installations, guaranteeing compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  4. Battery Technologies: Demonstrate expertise in current battery technologies, understanding their fundamental aspects and characteristics, as well as their impact on battery performance.
  5. Project Management: Effectively manage bids and projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and scope.
  6. Testing and Training: Perform thorough electrical testing using proper procedures and PPE, while staying up-to-date with manufacturer training sessions and equipment operations.

Requirements:

  1. Total Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in BESS is required, with a strong background in electrical engineering or a related field.
  2. Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field is essential; PhD candidates are also welcome.
  3. Skills: The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational, communication, analytical, planning, time management, and customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, is also required.
