We are seeking a skilled IBM AS/400 Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with IBM AS/400 systems, including COBOL, RPG III, RPGILE, SQLILE, and CLLE programming languages.

Job Description:

As an IBM AS/400 Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting large-scale AS/400 systems, ensuring optimal performance, and troubleshooting complex issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in COBOL, RPG III, RPGILE, SQLILE, and CLLE programming languages
  • Experience with IBM AS/400 system architecture, including interfaces with upstream and downstream systems
  • Familiarity with DB2 databases and communication protocols specific to AS/400
  • Ability to perform code walkthroughs of complex COBOL and RPG modules
  • Understanding of system monitoring mechanisms, log directories, and housekeeping processes on AS/400 servers
