Job Description

As a data governance professional, this role focuses on strengthening data security and compliance within Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy and manage Microsoft Purview solutions for data governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Define and implement data classification, labeling, and protection policies across Microsoft 365, hybrid, and cloud-native environments.
  • Configure and manage DLP, insider risk management, records management, and eDiscovery in Purview.
  • Integrate Purview with Microsoft Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Exchange for end-to-end compliance enforcement.
  • Assess current data estate, identify compliance gaps, and propose remediation strategies.
  • Support data cataloging, lineage tracking, and metadata management to strengthen governance.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, training, and adoption workshops.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Purview and its integrations.

This role requires strong practical expertise with Microsoft Purview, including Compliance Manager, DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, eDiscovery, and Records Management. A proven track record with sensitivity labels, retention policies, and data classification frameworks is essential.
