Product Innovation Manager Job Overview

As a Product Innovation Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our product by constantly innovating and managing it throughout its lifecycle. Your primary objective is to ensure that the product meets customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Strategy Development: Define Total Market (TTM) strategies, including market positioning, product positioning, value selling features, and price positioning.
  • Competition Analysis: Conduct competition strategy analysis to understand our product positioning and develop proactive strategies to counter it.
  • Market Exploration: Identify unexplored markets and understand the feasibility gap in formulating sales and marketing strategies.
Functional Responsibilities
  • Customer Insights: Visit customers to understand their needs based on new technologies, emerging trends, enhanced features, and possible areas of product creation.
  • Idea Conversion: Convert ideas into possible features or functionality of the product and share detailed descriptions with the New Product Development team.
  • Benchmarking: Ensure benchmarking with latest technologies, new processes, and new specifications needed by the product and take action to bridge the gap.
  • Project Monitoring: Monitor milestones planned in the product development cycle by coordinating with design, NPD, and keeping track of time and costs.
Internal Process
  • Customer Feedback: Track all complaints in coordination with Sales and Marketing for the product and ensure good references in the marketplace until a defined first reference is created.
  • Quality Standards: Standardize the product by passing on the first set of comments for pilot batch and sharing the same with Design/NPD.
  • Sales Training: Train the sales force on Product knowledge to handle enquiries and value sell on USP's of the Product.
