Lead Economist

About Our Economic Research Role:

The ideal candidate will focus on conducting in-depth economic analysis and research, particularly for the Indian market across various policy spectrums and macroeconomic indicators.

This involves building and maintaining econometric models to forecast future trends and risks, analyzing large datasets of macroeconomic data, monitoring global economic developments, and writing insightful research commentaries to accompany data analysis and discuss market drivers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex econometric models to forecast future trends and risks
• Analyze macroeconomic data to identify significant economic trends and themes
• Monitor and assess global economic developments and their potential impact on markets
• Write and publish high-quality research commentaries to accompany data analysis and discuss market drivers
• Work on projects related to the Indian market that require in-depth economic analysis

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience as an Economist, Macro Strategist, or Financial Analyst
• Advanced quantitative and mathematical skills with experience working with large datasets
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, VBA, and econometrics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
