Senior Data Engineer Role

 

The company is seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join their team. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining high-performance data pipelines to support the organization's consulting and analytics solutions.

 

Key responsibilities will include working with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data models, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate should have experience with big data tools, such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, and relational SQL and NoSQL databases.

 

Additionally, they should be familiar with data pipeline and workflow management tools, including Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, and experience with stream-processing systems like Storm, Spark-Streaming.

 

The successful candidate will also possess advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring SQL, and a working familiarity with various databases.

 

They should be able to build and optimize 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets, and perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

 

Requirements:

  • BE/B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc. degree with 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics/Data Engineering
  • Experience with Data Analytics services like EMR, Glue, Athena, Kinesis, MSK, Elasticsearch, Quicksight, and Redshift
  • Experience with setting up HPC (High Performance Computing)
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms are desirable qualifications
