Job Title: Data Science Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Science Manager to lead our team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, statistics, or applied mathematics and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists to carry out various activities related to data analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
  2. Develop and implement data pipelines to ingest data effectively and ensure data quality through proactive checks and resolution of gaps.
  3. Cary out exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and define performance metrics prior to running ML/DL algorithms.
  4. Research existing solutions before building ML models and create optimized data models to query relevant data efficiently.
  5. Create light applications, simulators, and scenario builders to help business consume end outputs.
  6. Document project artifacts and log failures and exceptions.

Bonus responsibilities include:

  • Integrate and operationalize models in client ecosystems.
  • Measure and articulate the impact of DS projects on business metrics and fine-tune workflows based on feedback.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  1. A graduate degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, or applied mathematics.
  2. Good programming skills in Python with strong working knowledge of Python's numerical, data analysis, or AI frameworks like NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
  3. Experience with large language models (LLMs) and their evolution history.
  4. Predictive modeling, machine learning techniques, and understanding key parameters that affect performance.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for success in this role.
