Financial Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in managing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations. They will also be responsible for preparing accurate year-end financial statements and handling GST-related matters, including responding to notices and ensuring timely compliance.

This position requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong organizational and communication skills. The candidate should be proficient in accounting software and ERP systems and have experience working with infrastructure or related industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Daily Accounting Operations: Oversee the day-to-day financial activities of the organization, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
  2. Prepare Year-End Financial Statements: Prepare accurate and timely year-end financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  3. Handle GST-Related Matters: Respond to GST-related notices and ensure timely compliance with GST regulations.
  4. Liaise with Banks: Liaise with banks for credit renewals, limit extensions, and maintain strong banking relationships.
  5. Analyse Financial Data: Analyse financial data to provide strategic recommendations for business growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • CMA Semi-qualified or CA: Possess a CMA semi-qualification or a CA degree.
  • Relevant Experience: Have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with a strong background in the infrastructure sector.
  • GST Compliance: Have proven experience in handling GST compliance and responding to notices.
  • Accounting Software Proficiency: Be proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
