Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring quality work is done in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise manufacturing processes and ensure quality work is done in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Liaise with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labor required.
  • Diagnose problems in the production line and provide recommendations and training.
  • Establish safety procedures and protocols that take the workers' well-being into account, and minimize the carbon footprint.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in engineering and production, and share knowledge with co-workers.
  • Identify, document, and report unsafe practices.
  • Develop production schedules and budgets for projects.
  • Schedule meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders.
  • Analyze all facets of production and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Procure materials and equipment required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in production engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
