Job Summary:

The Senior Web Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development of web applications using Django and Django Rest Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of developers, designers, and testers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and create detailed project plans.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet the required standards.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, code reviews, and performance evaluations.
  • Identify and address technical and operational challenges to maintain project momentum.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering/science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in web application development, with a strong focus on Django and Django Rest Framework.
  • Ability to work with RESTful APIs, SQL, PostgreSQL, Celery, Redis.
  • Extensive experience with multithreading and multiprocessing techniques to optimize application performance.
  • Strong experience with Python.
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, API development, and database optimization.
  • Knowledge of database systems, including SQL/NoSQL concepts.
  • Prior experience in the Education Technology Industry is a plus.
  • Preferred experience with Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) standards and integration.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Nice to Have Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AWS services for building and deploying scalable web applications.
  • Prior experience of working in a start-up culture.
  • Prior experience of working in Agile SAFe and PI Planning.
