The primary responsibility of the Raw Material Procurement Specialist is to source, purchase, and manage a wide range of raw materials essential for manufacturing solar mounting structures, transmission towers, and wind towers.

To ensure an uninterrupted supply of quality materials at competitive prices, the specialist develops and executes procurement strategies based on production demands and market conditions.

The role involves identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure the best terms and maintain a robust supply chain. It also includes issuing and managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving any procurement-related issues to ensure timely availability of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials based on production demands and market conditions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best terms.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve procurement-related issues.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations for steel products and adjust purchasing plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality control, finance, and plant planning teams to align procurement with manufacturing needs and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Materials Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in raw material procurement in steel or manufacturing industries, preferably related to construction or heavy engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of HRC, coated steel, hot rolled plates, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and make data-driven procurement decisions.
  • Proficient in procurement SAP Hana applications.
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
