Deputy Manager Job Description

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Manager to support our operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in audit procedures and a proven track record of conducting onsite inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply professional audit principles, policies, and procedures to the regular audit of members and internal departments to ensure that potential risks are minimized, security and control guidelines are strictly adhered to, and efficient checks and balances exist in workflow processes to achieve compliance.
  • Conduct onsite inspections of members and joint inspections with regulatory bodies: Timely completion of inspections as per target timelines (average 5-6 inspections per month).
  • Create awareness amongst members on compliance requirements: Share mandatory compliance information with best practices with members.
  • Prepare and verify inspection reports and checklists: Submit data to regulatory authorities post-inspection and ensure correctness of data/information between checklists and reports.
  • Visit/inspect authorized personnel of members.
  • Member Compliance Workshops.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant/Cost and Works Accountant (CMA) qualification.
  • 5-8 years of total experience with 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferably in broking/exchange/financial institution operations.
  • Proven expertise in audit procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory ecosystems and operations.
  • Knowledge of current accounting and audit principles, policies, and internal controls.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and investigating skills.
  • Time management and result orientation.
  • Process adherence and orientation.
