Senior Statistical Programmer Job Summary

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to join our organization as a Senior Statistical Programmer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing statistical analysis plans, developing and maintaining complex datasets, and providing programming support for clinical trials.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Developing and maintaining project timelines, ensuring accurate and complete activities for assigned support programmers
  • Creating and maintaining project specifications for SDTM, ADaM and other derived datasets
  • Applying knowledge of SAS programming to program/develop and/or validate statistical outputs according to the statistical analysis plan and other specifications; including but not limited to: Analysis datasets (SDTM, ADaM, other derived datasets), Tables, listings and figures, xml/Reviewer's Guide, Integrated summaries
  • Performing ad hoc analyses of current and legacy databases
  • Reviewing and providing input on case report form design
  • Serving as a mentor to other programmers
  • Maintaining awareness of scope of work to actual work, alerting management of potential change orders or resourcing needs
  • Working effectively with other programmers, statisticians, data managers, database programmers and other cross-functional team members to ensure accurate and high-quality statistical outputs
  • Providing strong understanding of departmental and company procedures; ability to guide others on procedures

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field, and a minimum of 4 years direct SAS programming experience in pharmaceutical development or CRO environment. You should also have good knowledge of medical terminology and conduct and analysis of clinical trials, knowledge of relevant industry data standards (e.g. CDISC SDTM, ADaM, etc.), excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
