Role Overview:

Closers are responsible for reviewing loan packages and creating Initial and subsequent Closing Disclosures (CDs) to ensure accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Request fees from settlement agents and perform fee analysis
  • Prepare Preliminary closing disclosure
  • Issue initial and re-disclosures to clients
  • Possess solid knowledge of Conventional Loans; Closing and Legal Documents; Disclosure Documents; Credit Documents; Insurance Documents; MDIA Disclosure timing and APR rules and TILA/RESPA LE/CDs/ICDs
  • Review flood insurance, Title commitment, ownership of deed, Loan approval, tax cert, and Preliminary closing disclosures
  • Monitor individual closing pipelines, workload, and volume levels for maximum balance and efficiency
  • Review Power of Attorneys (POA)
  • Review Cash to close
  • Create closing documents and monitor required waiting periods
  • Request preclosing audit prior to closing
  • Deliver final closing documents
  • Review final closing documents and clear to fund
