About Pahle India Foundation (PIF) is an action-oriented public policy think tank that partners with state and central governments to design, implement, and assess evidence-based policies.

As a Research Associate, you will be based in Bhopal and engage closely with state government institutions to support policy research, data analysis, and economic strategy development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct applied research on economic growth, statistics, and public policy issues, leveraging expertise in economics and statistics.
• Analyse large datasets and apply econometric techniques for policy insights, utilizing programming languages like Stata/R/Python.
• Draft policy briefs, reports, and presentations for decision-makers, providing actionable recommendations.
• Engage with government officials, industry leaders, and academic stakeholders to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to roundtables, workshops, and consultations on policy challenges, driving meaningful discussions and solutions.

You will work collaboratively with other researchers to ensure high-quality outputs. Your expertise will play a crucial role in providing research-backed policy inputs to inform Madhya Pradesh's development agenda.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Masters, MPhil, or PhD in Economics, Statistics, or related fields from a reputable institution.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in policy research, data analysis, consulting, or academia, demonstrating expertise in data analysis and econometrics.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis software and programming languages, including Stata, R, and Python.
• Demonstrated ability to design and independently manage research projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
