Backend Software Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems using Node.js and Python.

  • Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience in designing and building applications/systems based on wireframes and product requirements documents.
  • They should be experts in designing logical and physical data models to meet application requirements.
  • A strong understanding of Microservices in NodeJS and Python is essential for this role.
  • The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Additionally, they should be familiar with designing tables and writing optimal queries for SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and No-SQL (Redis, DynamoDB) databases.
  • Experience working on AWS Services like API Gateway, AWS Lambdas, DynamoDB EC2 and RDS is required.
  • Good coding practices, such as DRY principles, should be applied to write reusable, easy-to-maintain, versioned code.
  • Integration of existing tools and business systems with external services is a key responsibility of this position.
