Key Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and overseeing the development of embedded systems, utilizing a range of microcontrollers and application processors.
  • They will drive the complete product lifecycle, from concept to release and long-term maintenance, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, quality, and regulatory, to translate product requirements into robust system architectures.
  • Firmware development expertise in C and C++ for bare-metal, RTOS, and embedded-Linux targets is essential, as well as experience with board support packages, bootloaders, and secure update mechanisms.
  • Board-level hardware architecture definition, encompassing power, sensing, and communication subsystems, will also be a key responsibility.
  • System bring-up, low-level debugging, and integration of BSPs, device drivers, and middleware are critical skills required for success in this role.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, and cybersecurity guidance, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluation and recommendation of embedded platforms, SoCs, and communication protocols that meet technical, cost, and schedule objectives will also be a key responsibility.
  • This position requires strong leadership and mentoring skills, as well as the ability to produce high-quality documentation and conduct design and code reviews.
