About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in product development and project management. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical design principles, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative designs for various projects across different sectors, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Solid Works.
  • Modify existing products or designs to increase efficiency or improve performance, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage the design process from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
  • Research and assess the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of designs, providing data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Test the usability, environmental impact, and safety of designs, using scientific methods and industry standards.
  • Design sheet metal components, taking into account material properties, manufacturing processes, and quality control measures.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and equipment, negotiating prices and lead times.
  • Manage the development process, including tracking progress, costs, and timelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in a design or engineering role.
  • Proficiency in Solid Works (3D CAD), 3D designing, and 2D drawing, with expertise in Autodesk Inventor or similar software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT, etc.), with experience in creating reports, presentations, and proposals.
