Database Expert Wanted

We are seeking an experienced database expert to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in the implementation and maintenance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems.

This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, cloud migration experience, and excellent communication abilities. You will be responsible for developing and sustaining multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms, ensuring operational readiness (security, health, and performance) for both on-premises and cloud-based Oracle environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with assigned client base through continuous communication and collaboration.
  • Develop new customer transition plans, administration, and maintenance procedures to ensure seamless availability and consistent performance.
  • Administer and optimize Oracle Exadata systems, including compute nodes, storage cells, and InfiniBand infrastructure.
  • Manage Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery processes.
  • Lead and support end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI environments.
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions using RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate technologies.
  • Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools to ensure optimal database operations.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and audit readiness across Exadata and OCI environments.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of production database support experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems and Oracle RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB) and working knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard.
  • Strong background in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) required; OCI certifications preferred.
  • Experience with AWS cloud databases is a plus; AWS certifications desired.
