About the Role

As a Paediatric Oncology Nutritionist, you will play a vital role in managing the health and nutritional needs of children with cancer.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage both out-patient and in-patient care in the Paediatric Oncology and Hematology departments, ensuring comprehensive support for children and their families.
  • Assess children's health and nutritional needs based on anthropometric measurements, such as height, weight, and BMI, adhering to established guidelines like those from the Cuddles Foundation.
  • Develop personalized diet plans for each child, taking into account their medical condition, growth, and development requirements, while actively involving both the child and family members.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of counselling sessions, utilizing this data for impact mapping, monitoring, evaluation, and case study development.
  • Organize weekly group counselling sessions and parent support meetings to promote healthy eating habits and emotional well-being.
  • Distribute nutritional aid at hospitals, providing essential items such as ration kits, eggs, bananas, milk, and other necessities initiated by the organization.
  • Participate actively in training programs and meetings organized by the organization, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and self-evaluation.
  • Stay updated on current research and advancements in nutritional science, applying this knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Collaborate closely with hospital doctors and nurses, reporting progress regularly to the team lead and ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction, quality care, and adherence to medical and organizational standards.
