Medical Writer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled medical writer to join our team.

  • Develop high-quality scientific, medical, and educational materials for clients.
  • Liaise with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders to understand their needs.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, authors, clients, and vendors.
  • Attend workshops and training sessions to hone skills and contribute to organizational objectives.
  • Apply knowledge of science and creativity to develop effective medical communications initiatives in the digital space.
  • Maintain current awareness of developments across therapeutic areas or disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop client-ready materials such as slides, abstracts, manuscripts, and meeting materials.
  2. Collaborate with international clients and healthcare professionals to meet their needs.
  3. Communicate complex information effectively to various audiences.
  4. Contribute to making cutting-edge research accessible to specific audiences.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in relevant fields of scientific writing.
  • PhD/MD (Pharmacology) OR PhD (Life Sciences) OR PharmD with good understanding of clinical research and medical communication.
  • Experience working on publications.
  • Clear, concise, scientific style of writing with high attention to detail and excellent language skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with clients.
  • Ability to adapt writing style to different materials and target audiences.
  • Basic knowledge of biostatistics.
  • Literature reviewing and evaluation capabilities.
