Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Urban Designer to join our team at dar. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research on planning trends, policies, legislation, and market conditions to support project development.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports, presentations, diagrams, technical drawings, and other deliverables on time and to the highest quality achievable.
  • Gather essential information to support planning proposals through site assessments.
  • Ensure seamless liaison with our London Office.
  • Be available to work flexible late hours to align with the London office when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Urban Planning/ Architecture/ Geography or similar field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary design environment/ graphics firm/advertising agency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work with departmental staff and management.
  • Good knowledge of current planning best practice and sustainable development.
  • Proficient in industry-standard design tools (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and experienced in using them to create diverse design solutions.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is mandatory.

Desirable Skills

  • Prior work experience in urban planning/ property sector.
  • Ability to work with AI software.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk products including Civil3d and AutoCAD.
