We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Developer to join our team at Copeland. As a Backend Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex and secure Node JS based applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high performing, reliable, scalable and secure applications.
- Develop readable, extensible, testable and secure code, while being mindful of performance requirements.
- Develop Proof-Of-Concept applications and give demos to business leaders.
- Create self-contained, reusable and testable modules and components.
- Work in a complex team structure, including distributed teams.
- Work on Agile (Scrum) teams with a focus on meeting individual and team commitments.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in design and developing complex and secure Node JS based applications.
- Middle ware proficient in design and development of complex middleware with technologies like Node JS, Express JS, REST API development, Microservices architecture, Message broker software, and database design.
- Working experience with Docker and fluency in working with Linux systems.
- Experience in design principles and design patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in using repositories like Bitbucket, GIT.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks – Chai, Jest and Mocha.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Awareness of secure product development lifecycle.
- Web Application Security and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
