Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable real-time & batch data pipelines to support increasing data demands.
  • Establish data domains across banking products and lay the foundation for Data Mesh architecture while ensuring data security, governance, and compliance.
  • Oversee ETL processes, data modelling, integration, orchestration, and automation for seamless data operations.
  • Work with analysts, data scientists, and business teams to improve data models, enhance accessibility, and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide L2/L3 support, debug data issues, and ensure high availability & quality of production data.
  • Implement risk controls, audit reviews, RCSA, and maintain compliance with data privacy regulations through access controls, encryption, and masking.
  • Identify and mitigate bottlenecks, forecast storage & processing needs, and ensure a scalable data infrastructure.

Key Qualifications:

  • Expertise in core banking, retail, digital, marketing, risk, and compliance systems across multiple regions (UAE, Egypt, Pakistan, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of Enterprise Data Lake, Azure Data Lake, BI, Advanced Analytics, and Real-time Streaming platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including design, development, and maintenance of scalable real-time & batch data pipelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with analysts, data scientists, and business teams to improve data models and enhance accessibility.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
