Transmission Line Designer

Develop design drawings for transmission or distribution projects by leveraging expertise in drafting standards and quality control. Collaborate with engineering staff to interpret specifications, calculate weights and volumes, and visualize parts in 3D.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize AutoCAD 2D and 3D to create accurate drawings of transmission lines and hardware details.
- Interpret input from various sources, such as engineering specifications and software outputs, to inform design decisions.
- Visualize complex parts in 3D without the aid of a computer.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 4+ years' experience in developing design drawings for transmission or distribution projects.
- Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
- Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of a computer.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with PLS-CADD & PLS-POLE software.
- Knowledge of North American overhead power line industry standards.
Professional Requirements:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and attention to detail.
- Maintain high-quality work while working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
