Job Title: Industrial Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Engineer to lead our team in designing and implementing cutting-edge automation solutions for manufacturing operations.

  • Design, configure, and deploy Ignition SCADA and MES applications across multiple sites
  • Develop and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions using industry-standard protocols
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems, PLCs, SCADA, MES, with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases, and cloud platforms
  • Maintain secure and efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols
  • Manage industrial databases, SQL historian, timeseries databases for high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team
Requirements:
  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc
  • Proficiency with database technologies, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies, REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms, Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, for SCADA/MES deployments
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation, Industry 4.0 projects
  • Certifications, Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications
