">We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill this position, which requires a strong background in health, safety, and environmental practices. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of conducting risk assessments, implementing effective control measures, and promoting a culture of job safety.
">Main Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough risk assessments for assigned projects and activities, identifying potential hazards and implementing practical control measures to mitigate risks.">
- Collaborate with shop personnel to foster a strong safety culture by promoting safe work practices, providing guidance, and addressing safety concerns in a proactive manner.">
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure all health, safety, and environmental requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to completion.">
- Analyze HSE data, preparing timely reports and statistics to inform the project team and drive decision-making.">
- Develop and deliver impactful safety training programs tailored to shop personnel, focusing on job-specific needs and best practices to promote a culture of job safety.">
- Supervise shop activities and team members, ensuring adherence to safe work practices and promoting a culture of job safety.">
- Conduct regular toolbox talks to proactively address safety hazards and raise awareness of safe work procedures among team members.">
- Attend daily meetings and actively participate, providing relevant safety information and ensuring awareness within the production team.">
- Manage incidents effectively, gathering data for investigation, implementing corrective actions, and overseeing timely closure of identified issues.">
- Collaborate with contractors to ensure they are fully informed and compliant with our health, safety, and environmental requirements.">
- Maintain a deep understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and legislation, staying up-to-date on compliance requirements.">
- Oversee the implementation and utilization of HSE management systems, ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance.">
- Develop and conduct various HSE awareness programs to promote safety consciousness throughout the organization.">
- Foster an open and receptive environment by actively soliciting feedback from shop personnel regarding their safety concerns.">
- Conduct regular inspections of workplaces, systems, processes, and equipment to identify and address any potential safety hazards.">
- Provide timely and accurate HSE data inputs to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.">
- Work collaboratively with the team to continuously improve work processes and safety standards.">
Requirements
">To be considered for this role, you should possess:

- A Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).">
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in a similar HSE role within a construction, manufacturing, or related industry.">
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective control measures.">
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.">
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.">
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.">
- Proficient in HSE software and data management systems.">
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and legislation.">
- Commitment to safety excellence and continuous improvement.">
