Junior Accountant Position

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial concepts, experience with accounting software, and strong analytical skills.

This role involves assisting with financial statement preparation, analyzing bank statements and general ledgers, posting journal entries, maintaining fixed assets, preparing compliance reports, and serving as a liaison for vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of financial statements.
  • Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers.
  • Post journal entries for accrued expenses and revenue.
  • Maintain and record fixed assets.
  • Prepare and file local compliance reporting as necessary.
  • Act as a liaison for vendors to resolve billing discrepancies.

Required Skills:

  • Attention to Detail: Essential for ensuring accuracy in financial records.
  • Accounting Software Proficiency: Expertise in TALLY and advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate financial matters to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Needed to identify discrepancies and analyze financial trends.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Educational Background:

  • 2+ years' related experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience working with general ledgers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with TALLY, including Microsoft Office.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.
