Job Summary:

The development engineer is responsible for developing complex software applications using Python and React. They will work as a fully contributing team member, under broad guidance, and apply their own judgment to determine a course of action.

Scope:

The impact of this position's decisions and actions on the division or function includes resolving complex issues in creative and effective ways, using professional concepts and company objectives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create high-level and low-level designs for functional requirements as marketable features or use cases.
  • Have good command of technology related to primary products.
  • Follow best coding practices.
  • Assist colleagues with design reviews, code reviews, implementation, and information about existing implementations.
  • Be an expert in one or more modules of the product.
  • Have a good understanding of core modules of secondary products.
  • Knowledge of AI and how to incorporate it into work streams for productivity gains.

Education and Experience:

A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required. Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a master's degree; or equivalent experience.

Skills and Abilities:

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential. Good communication skills, both written and spoken, are also required. Intercultural skills and the ability to work with global teams at different time zones are advantageous.
