About the Role
The Manager, Safety & Security, India is a key member of the Global Workplace Safety team, responsible for developing, implementing, and operating safety and physical security programs in Chennai, India. This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills, as well as experience in managing contractors and providing protection for personnel and company property. Additionally, you will oversee contract transportation services, manage outsourced contract security guard forces, and contribute to operational, strategic, and tactical planning.
Responsibilities
This role includes: developing and deploying Workday safety operations programs, processes, and systems; overseeing contract transportation services for eligible employees; managing outsourced contract security guard forces; assisting in improving overall safety performance; aiding Employee Health & Safety Managers in identifying and recommending solutions to unsafe working conditions; and contributing to operational, strategic, and tactical planning.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need 5 years of experience working in corporate safety and/or security with at least two years in a managerial or supervisory role. A BA/BS degree in business, management, criminal justice, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience operating in a matrix environment, project management, and technical depth and breadth of knowledge of safety and management concepts are highly desirable.
