About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer I to join our team at BNY. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based applications that can handle high volumes and low latency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop software artifacts using Agile methodology and provide production support.
  • Design and implement Java-based applications that meet business requirements.
  • Maintain software functionality and ensure high-quality code.
  • Engage with Business Analysts to understand platform requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Actively participate in code reviews and integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
Requirements
  • 4-9 years of experience as a Java developer/programmer, with a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development coding languages.
  • Experience with Java 11.0, Spring 5, Spring Boot 3, HTML, CSS, JSON, Angular 10+, JavaScript, and Node.js.
  • Comfortable with ORDMS (Hibernate or Ibatis), RDBMS (Oracle), SQL, No-SQL or unstructured database.
  • Understanding of JVM, memory usage, performance testing, and tuning.
  • Familiarity with different design and architectural patterns, such as MVC (Model-View-Controller) Pattern and JDBC (Java Database Connectivity).
  • RESTful web service experience and understanding of microservices-based, scalable architecture.
  • Experience implementing caching using Hazelcast, ehcache, Memcached, or other tools.
  • Strong experience in SDLC, DevOps processes, including CI/CD tools, Git, and other relevant technologies.
