Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights.
  • Develop and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems and improve decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their strategic objectives and identify opportunities to leverage data and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Create detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Provide support for data-related issues, and mentor junior data scientists in the team.
  • Define and manage data governance policies to ensure data quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to design data solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Coordinate with users to understand data needs and delivery of data with a focus on data quality, data reuse, consistency, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve data science processes and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data science with generative AI, 1+ years hands-on experience using Azure Machine Learning, and/or Azure OpenAI.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python, along with AI-centric libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
  • Generative models expertise, including developing solutions using generative AI services like Azure Open AI, Gemini, and Amazon Bedrock.
  • Natural language processing (NLP) skills, including techniques for text parsing, sentiment analysis, and using transformers like GPT models.
  • Data management skills, including proficiency in data manipulation programming languages such as Python, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
  • Extensive experience working with large data sets, with hands-on technology skills to design and build robust data architectures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate through presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • A Ph.D. in a related field is a plus.
  • 1+ years of experience building Power BI models and visualizations with solid understanding of DAX and Power BI visualization techniques.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
  • Agile development environment experience applying DEVOPS along with data quality and governance principles.
  • Good leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel.
  • Ability to contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to architecture or new technologies and mentoring junior employees and being ready to shoulder ad-hoc.
  • Experience with cross-team collaboration, interpersonal skills/relationship building.
