Job Title: Ecommerce Director

We are seeking a visionary Ecommerce Director to craft and execute a holistic growth strategy across various channels.

  • Purpose: The Ecommerce Director will own the full profit-and-loss responsibility for their geography, setting aggressive revenue, margin, and customer-acquisition-cost/customer-lifetime-value targets.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Forecast demand and manage end-to-end inventory, ensuring stock-outs below 2% and ageing stock below 4%.
  2. Craft and execute a comprehensive growth strategy across direct-to-consumer, marketplaces, offline, and emerging channels.
  3. Define product-market fit; localize hero SKUs, create new-product roadmaps, and sunset low-return-on-investment lines.
  4. Collaborate with research-and-development teams to adapt formulations for regional regulations and sensorial preferences.
  5. Develop a 360-degree marketing plan—performance, influencer, customer-relationship-management, public-relations—allocating budgets for maximum return-on-ad-spend.
  6. Establish data pipelines and dashboards; track cohorts, repeat rates, marketplace rankings in real-time.
  7. Negotiate with third-party logistics providers, payment partners, and duty consultants to optimize landed costs and service-level-agreements.
  8. Recruit, mentor, and performance-manage cross-functional teams (growth, operations, customer-success, retail, trade).
  9. Champion customer obsession; mine voice-of-customer insights to inform product updates and customer-experience enhancements.
  10. Drive strategic partnerships—wellness chains, tourism boards, Ayurveda clinics—to amplify reach.
  11. Ensure legal and tax compliance, including cosmetics claims, import duties, and general-data-protection-regulation-like mandates.
  12. Present quarterly business reviews to Global Leadership, highlighting wins, risks, and next bets.
  13. Deploy a test-and-learn culture; run A/B tests on funnels, creatives, bundles, and pricing levers.
  14. Set up disaster-recovery and continuity plans for supply, logistics, ads, and key seller accounts.
  15. Benchmark competition; deliver actionable intelligence on pricing, share-of-voice, and shelf velocity.
  16. Act as the brand's cultural ambassador, embodying its ethos while driving high-performance execution.
