Mainframe Quality Assurance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:- We are looking for a skilled professional to create Test Strategy/Test plan documents that define scope and approach of testing.
- The ideal candidate will analyze the Requirements and identify Test scenarios/design the Test cases.
- They should prepare Test data/Test JCL according to test scenarios.
- Responsibilities include executing Test cases by submitting Jobs and analyzing the results.
- Candidates must report issues and coordinate with Development/support teams for fixing errors.
- The ideal candidate should have 6+ years of experience in Testing life cycle processes, creation of test cases/data/execution as per requirement/design.
- A good knowledge of editing JCL or creating JCL to submit Test Batch Jobs is required.
- Candidates should be aware of TSO/ISPF commands in Mainframe.
- Proficiency in editing Mainframe files using Layouts/Copybooks using Fileaid to modify data according to testing requirements is essential.
- Verification of Database in DB2 or output files to verify outputs is also necessary.
Work Environment:
The successful candidate will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with IT Developers and support teams to deliver high-quality results.
Education:
Relevant certifications and degrees in computer science or related fields are required.
