Electrical Design Lead

We're seeking a seasoned electrical design engineer with expertise in control systems, motor sizing, and safety compliance for high-tech equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, selecting, and sizing motors, drives, and motion systems for industrial applications.
  • Working with industrial I/O systems, including B&R PLCs.
  • Contributing to risk assessments per SEMI S14, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL standards.
  • Creating AC/DC power distribution systems compliant with NFPA 79, SEMI S22, and relevant UL standards.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to clarify technical requirements and integrate load/motion for projects.
  • Managing assigned projects and leading teams when required.
  • Maintaining electrical schematics, I/O lists, cable routing diagrams, and BOMs using SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Managing product data in PLM systems.
  • Providing hands-on troubleshooting support for control panels, drives, and I/O systems.
  • Supporting FAT execution, customer acceptance, and TUV or third-party safety audits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation, preferably in high-tech equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of drive selection, motor sizing, and motion control principles.
  • Experience with SEMI S14 risk assessment, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL compliance.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; strong knowledge of PLM systems.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for drives, control circuits, and industrial I/O.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic PLC programming knowledge: experience with B&R and Siemens PLCs is an added advantage.
