Job Title: Organic Chemist

An Organic Chemist will be responsible for designing, synthesizing, and characterizing organic compounds.

  • The successful candidate will design and execute organic synthesis routes to target compounds.
  • They will perform purification and characterization of organic molecules using analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, and IR spectroscopy.
  • Analysis and interpretation of experimental data will be used to troubleshoot reactions and optimize synthetic routes.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be required to develop innovative solutions and address project challenges.
  • Maintaining accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations is essential.
  • Staying current with literature and technological advancements in organic chemistry is necessary to contribute to the development of novel methodologies and technologies.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and best practices in the laboratory environment is mandatory.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • PhD or Master's degree in organic chemistry or a related field, or evidence of exceptional ability.
  • 1-2+ years of industrial experience preferred.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of organic chemistry principles and techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with organic synthesis, purification, and characterization methods.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical conduct in scientific research.
