Job Summary:

This role is responsible for improving supplier performance quality by conducting process parts audits and promoting the latest inspection techniques.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes and be able to apply general knowledge to resolve issues using established procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspections and measurements of parts according to Engineering drawings, GD T Dimensions, and specifications.
  • Review and ensure that part qualification is performed in compliance with the FSA process defined by the People Leader.
  • Manage and ensure that parts are qualified on time and First Time Right (FTR).
  • Co-ordinate with Sourcing and Supplier performance Team for on-boarding new suppliers as per GE Supplier Quality Policy.
  • Complete assigned audits as per the audit plan and liaise with suppliers for audit points closure.
  • Execute qualification projects, including BCC, Cost out, NPI, Alternate source development, and discussion with Sourcing, Supply chain, and Engineering R&D.
  • Communicate qualification acceptance to the supplier through the PQ tool.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Graduate Engineer certificate in Mechanical or equivalent Engineering discipline.
  • More than 5 years of experience in Quality, Exposure to Supplier audits, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18000.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA, PPAP, Problem-Solving Methodologies and Tools, castings, machining, forging, plating, painting process.
  • Customer-focused and excellent liaison attitude.
