Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support the development, improvement, and maintenance of Geneo power bi reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, Power BI, SQL, and Azure DevOps. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in Agile and CI-CD practices, taking ownership of some processes or practices for the team.
  • Be aware of the operational characteristics (e.g., security, performance, scalability, manageability) of solutions and be accountable for supporting those requirements in contributed code.
  • Contribute to increasing team understanding of user perspective and values while advocating for user needs.
  • Understand what creates business or market impact and how design and delivery activities are related to that impact.
  • Participate in the development of prototypes (mockups, models, simulations, functional capabilities) to support user engagement, interaction, and feedback.
  • Have knowledge of technologies and understand the technologies used by an engineering team.
  • Contribute to the identification/prioritization of solutions through analysis and discussions.
  • Understand regulatory environment, sales and digital experience, and channel.
  • Design solutions within a single channel.
  • Be knowledgeable about current security controls.
  • Identify possible solutions and pros and cons to each.
  • Able to use data-driven approaches to solve problems.
  • Adhere to quality control guidelines and practices.
  • Track, identify, and promptly report issues that may affect solution quality and bring forward improvement recommendations.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience working with PowerBI, SQL, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Proficiency in developing relational databases, including Power BI, SQL, and Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge in data warehousing.
  • Knowledge on GitHub Integration with Azure DevOps.
  • Proven ability to work with minimal guidance or on routine issues/activities.
  • Proven ability to build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate an "automation first" mentality that improves quality and efficiency.
  • Proven ability to develop understanding of cost, complexity, and capability tradeoffs in underlying architectures.
  • Proven ability to develop awareness of upstream and downstream system interactions and dependencies.
  • Proven ability to reuse and/or develop for reuse code algorithms, or data structures to address common needs.
  • Proven analytics skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
  • Proven actively follows industry trends in technology, tools, and components, sharing findings with team members.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge or experience with DevOps, SSIS.
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
