Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and exceptional Principal Engineer to join our Front-end Technology team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop exceptional end-user experiences using a combination of UX design and UI frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the product team to understand end-user needs and build intuitive UI flows.
  • Follow Agile development methodologies to incrementally build out applications with regular reviews with product and stakeholders.
  • Develop and scale best technical design and practices across the organization.
  • Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders (Product Managers, Designers) to review usability, accessibility of the UI, manage delivery, unblock teams, identify risks, and remove roadblocks.
  • Lead and influence design conversations for scale, performance, and wider adoption of library components.
  • Mentor and upskill junior engineers through blogs, peer reviews, design conversations, technology stack choices, etc.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering with 10+ years of experience in the IT industry.
  • 10+ years of experience in web development technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, CSS, and TDD.
  • Good understanding of UX design, usability, accessibility, look and feel consistency.
  • Good understanding of architectural principles, patterns, web performance.
  • Experience in latest trends, including ES6/7, Node, package management, Webpack, Babel.
  • Working knowledge of Object-Oriented JavaScript and Functional JavaScript.
  • Having experience/understanding of Material UI design and MobX is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of core web and browser concepts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
