Reliability Engineer for Static Equipment

About the Role



  • Assume responsibility for the reliability of static equipment in our refinery and petrochemical plants.
  • Implement department objectives and ensure adherence to work safety procedures.
  • Ensure that master data for fixed equipment in SAP/Meridium is up-to-date.
  • Develop written down procedures for activities in accordance with codes, standards, and RAGAGEP's.
  • Prepare inspection reports, release recommendations, and maintain record history.
  • Provide procedures for repairs to fixed equipment and associated appurtenances.
  • Co-ordinate inter-departmental reliability assurance activities.
  • Review pending inspections and liaise with operations/maintenance for planning and completion.
  • Inspect special and critical/hazardous maintenance activities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis of failures and generate reports.
  • Update corrosion manuals and assist in developing RBI.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities and maintain records for statutory compliance.
  • Detailed planning for Major Shutdown activities and execution of Major overhauls.
  • Administer contracts as per work orders.
  • Evaluate QAP's for spares/consumables.

Requirements



  • Strong analytical thinking and team work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment engineering drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of construction, design codes, basic maintenance systems, and practices.
  • Basic understanding of operations of typical refinery/petrochemical/utilities.
  • Basic knowledge of materials and metallurgy.
  • Valid certification in ASNT/ISNT Level II in at least two techniques.
  • Around 5 years of experience in refinery/petrochemical plants.
  • Experience in managing Reliability, Inspection, and Corrosion monitoring of Fixed equipment.
  • Exposure to MS Office and other computerised systems.
